Countries Invited more Than Once as Guest of Honor
For the very first Happy Republic Day celebrations in 1950, Indonesia was selected as the guest country and President Sukarno witnessed the event and celebrations. Once again in the year 2011, Indonesia was invited as the guest of honor.
United Kingdom witnessed the grand Happy Republic Day celebrations in India for five times: In years 1956, 1959, 1961, 1964 and 1993. In the year 1956 United Kingdom shared the guest list with Japan.
Similar to United Kingdom, France is a country which India hosted for five times during the years 1976, 1980, 1998, 2008 and 2016 with the following guests
